The Port Washington Historical Society (PWHS) in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin was founded in 1991. The Society exists as an educational organization that is dedicated to the preservation, advancement, and dissemination of knowledge of the history of the Port Washington area.

A Board of Directors governs the Society and is elected annually. The 2008 Board and officers include:

·         Linda Nenn, Treasurer

·         Angie Cope

·         Ann Flierl

·         Richard Fulop

·         Marzena Keller

·         Mike Keller

·         Mark Schowalter

The current membership of the Society is 216. The newsletter Historical Perspectives is published four times a year and features stories of local interest and updates to the membership.  Quarterly membership meetings feature speakers and presentations on topics relevant to the history of the Port Washington area.

The Society operates the 1860 Port Washington Light House / Light Station Museum and maintains a Resource Center.
